After a resilient first half obsorbing East Mids pressure, North Midlands Women came back from a half time one try deficit to record a bonus point 29-10 win in their opening Gill Burns County Championship pool match.
A 48th minute try from Stourbrige’s Jas Faulkner-Harper levelled up the scores, before a penalty from Sutton Coldfield’s Ali Livermore a few moments later put North Midlands into the lead for the first time. Two tries from Mia Maduagwu (Stourbridge/Bridgnorth) and one from Livermore earned North Mids a try bonus point, with Livermore duely converting all three.
Next up is our final pool game vs Buckinghamshire at Aylesbury RFC on Sun 24th May, while East Mids & Bucks meet next weekend.
