The North Mids Cup for the 2025-26 season is for Levels 7 and 8 teams.
For levels 5 and 6 clubs, as there will be league play-offs, we will not stage a North Mids Cup for these leagues.
The competition format will be a traditional cup knockout competition and early losers going into a Cup Plate Competition.
As in previous seasons, clubs can either enter the RFU National Cup competition or the North Mids Cup competition, not both.
“Rule 6) Players may only play for a club’s league 2nd (or 3rd) team if they have played 5 games or fewer for their 1st (or 2nd) team.” This rule will be retained.
The “North Mids Finals Day” will be moved to Saturday 9th May 2026 to promote interest.

2025/2026 Cup Competitions Rules and Regulations:
I will be taking the role of North Midlands Cup Administrator this season.
For the 2025-26 season, the North Mids Cup will be a Levels 7 and 8 competition.
The closing date for entries to me is 31.08.25.
It is intended for the competition format to be a traditional cup knockout competition, with a preliminary round if necessary and early losers going into a Cup Plate Competition.
As in previous seasons, clubs can either enter the RFU National Cup competition or the North Mids Cup competition, not both.
It is proposed to move the “North Mids Finals Day” to a Saturday to promote interest. Clubs will be invited to tender to host finals day. 8 changing rooms will be a requirement
The games will be on the GMS and the games will use electronic match cards.
