| SIX Midlands players have been included in the British Police squad for their match against the Royal Air Force at RAF Halton on April 2 (2.30pm).Sutton Coldfield flanker Marcus Harewood, a Barbados international, and Nuneaton lock Llyr Griffifths, a serving officer in Nottinghamshire Police, will be joined in the pack by Richard Stott, the former Moseley and Stourbridge lock.
Stott is one of four players from the West Midlands force in the Police squad with experienced scrum-half Toby Handley and fly-halves Chris Scott and Marc Marren named among the backs. Scott plays his club rugby for Earlsdon and Marren for their Coventry neighbours Old Coventrians. The Police match will be the RAF’s last fixture before they open the Inter Services Championship against defending champions the Army at RAF Halton on April 16. British Police squad: |
