It is with deep regret that Newport (Salop) RUFC have to announce the sad news of Gavin Goulson’s passing.
Gavin was a Rugby man through and through who was a great supporter and past President of the club. He was a gentleman, and raconteur, with many amusing stories to tell.
We have his legacy in the form of the club history, that he authored, a no mean feat at the time.
He very rarely missed a game either home or away despite, in his latter years, being somewhat less than well.
Gavin will be sorely missed he was a cornerstone of Newport (Salop) RUFC.
Our thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathy are with the family during this difficult time.
