Dear North Midlands Colleagues,
There have been varying reports in the press over recent days referring to the involvement of the WGU (Whole Game Union) in the rejection of the RFU’s proposed reforms to its Governance. These are misleading.
It has been confirmed to the independent activist group of Council members (this includes Charlie Hemmings and Paul Kaminski), that the WGU no longer exists as a functioning body. Paddy McAlpine, a former leader of the WGU, has clarified that he has been contacted, but in reality, it is journalists fishing for stories and using past contacts as potential sources.
