North Midlands RFU Cup, Shield and Vase
For Clubs NOT entering the RFU National Cup Competitions (clubs cannot enter both) North Midlands RFU will be running their own competitions in March, April and May for Club 1st XVs. As in the past, the Cup will be for clubs at level 5 and 6, the Shield for levels 7 and 8 and the Vase for level 9,10 and non league playing clubs.
All 3 Competitions will take the format of a round robin between local clubs to save on travelling with the winners of the groups progressing to the Semi Final knockout stage and the runners up going into the Plate Semi Finals . Points for the group stages will be the same as for league games including losing bonus and try bonus points with points difference used if points are equal. The size of the groups will depend on the number of entries but at least one home game will be guaranteed.
All Finals will be held in the second week of May, date and venue to be confirmed
