Leicestershire 14 North Midlands 62
North MIdlands Senior men started well in this year’s Bill Beaumont County Championship with an exciting win over Leicestershire by 62 – 14. The scoring started in the first minute with Sam Vaughan knocking over the first of 4 penalties and 5 Conversions. The scoring then continued over a regular basis in both halves finishing with a total of 8 Tries, two from Skipper Connor Nichols (Bridgnorth) and one each from Freddie Morgan (Dudley Kingswinford), Lewis Arnold, Thomas Cubitt, James Gunther, Jack Morris and Benjamin Ralph (All Bromsgrove). This year the Pool we are in is restricted to Level 5 and below players.
The next opposition, East Midlands (Saturday 13th May @ Oundle RFC) also started with a high scoring manner beating Eastern Counties 61 – 29.
