| North Midlands Ladies produced an excellent display to beat Staffordshire 55-14 at Five Ways OE.Despite the very short time together the team linked together well to outscore Staffordshire by nine tries to two in an entertaining contest.
Staffordshire were relentless throughout the game and had dangerous players in both the forwards and backs, However, North Midlands were excellent in defence and their attack was faultless using pace out wide and secure ball up front to run in the points. Top points scorer for North Midlands was Moseley full-back Nicola Sykes with a try and four conversions, closely followed by Worcester winger Sam Bree with two tries and a conversion. Susan James also scored a brace, with a try each from Ruth Clewer-Banks, Caren Goodman, Michelle Ruddock and Ashleigh Aiston. |
