It is a busy newsletter this week on the countdown to the new season – please pass all relevant information onto your volunteers – this newsletter is only sent to Senior Club Chairmen and Hon Secretaries.

News

• Safeguarding & RugbySafe Event @ Newman University – North Midlands RFU are holding this event on Sunday 22nd September from 10:00am to 3:30pm and it’s open to all mini & Junior chairmen, Junior contacts, CSO’s and RugbySafe volunteers.  Ideally we would like up to 2 people per club to attend.  Please see link for full details of event and guest speakers and registration should be made with Sarah Wild (nmrfuas@gmail.com) for catering purposes.  Walk-ins on the day will be accepted.

• Social Rugby – Clubs have until 31^st August 2024 to let Jon Critchlow know if they want to be involved in this program. He will then pull the fixtures/host clubs together and information will go out w/c 9^th Sept.- The 1^st fixtures are to be played on the weekend of 28^th September. JonCritchlow@rfu.com

The Off Field tab on the North Midlands website is full of useful information to help you in the new season from Club Support, Permissions for Tours & Festivals, Job Adverts, Volunteering, Women’s & Girls support – Please make sure relevant sections are aware of this facility especially Age Grade Consents and Touring as we receive numerous applications with old forms or incorrect forms from volunteers who are unaware of where to look – https://northmidsrfu.co.uk/off-field/

• Reminder of NMRFU FAGM on Monday 2nd September 2024 @ Kiddermister RFC at 7:00pm – all clubs welcome, please register attendance.  Full bundle of Calling Notice, Agenda and Accounts attached.
• NMRFU Age Grade Competition – applications to be received by 12 noon Monday 9th September for U14’s/U15’s and U16’s Boys.
• Ron Saunders – Worcester RFC is fundraising for Prostate Cancer – all support welcome Ron Saunders Just Giving
