| SUTTON Coldfield’s Barbados international flanker Marcus Harewood will make his debut for British Police against Army A at the Army Stadium in Aldershot on Wednesday February 12 (2.30pm).Harewood, who has played for Greater Birmingham, works in the legal services department of the Derbyshire force and he is one of five Midlands-based players in the British Police squad.
Nottinghamshire Police lock Llyr Griffiths, who plays his club rugby for Nuneaton in National Three Midlands, will be joined by the experienced West Midlands Police trio on Chris Scott, Toby Handley and Richard Stott. Fly-half Scott, who plays club rugby for Earlsdon, contributed 19 points to British Police’s 39-16 win over the UK Fire Service at Doncaster two weeks ago. Scrum-half Handley played Premiership rugby for West Hartlepool in the late 1990s and has since played club rugby for Rugby Lions and Stourbridge. Lock Stott has played Championship and National League rugby for Moseley and Stourbridge.
