| CAMP Hill will be turning pink this weekend to raise money for Cancer Research UK.All of Camp Hill’s senior teams will be wearing pink socks for their matches over the weekend including the First XV who host Wolverhampton in a rearranged Midlands Two West (North) match on Saturday.
Camp Hill’s thriving women’s team are also at home on February 2 in a cup match and visitors to the club’s ground at Haslucks Green Road in Shirley, Solihull will be able to buy a pair of pink socks for £4 with all proceeds going to the cancer charity. “The Ladies Team have organised with Cancer Research UK for a fund-raising weekend to generate funds to help in the search for a cure for cancer,” said Camp Hill secretary Karen Gibbons. “They will be selling pink socks at £4 a pair with the profits going to the charity, alternatively people can make a donation. “Not many of us have not been affected in some way by this disease so all support is needed and is much appreciated.” |
