Age Grade Regulation – Half Game Rule
It has been brought to North Midland’s attention that some Clubs are not always complying with the Half Game rule. Following an investigation, it was found that there were extenuating circumstances that gave rise to one breach.
However, the point needs to be reinforced that all players declared on a team sheet must play a minimum of half the game in line with both Regulation 15 and North Midlands Junior competition rules.
Should it be anticipated that the Regulation requirement is unlikely to be fulfilled, for whatever reason, this should be communicated to both the opposition administrator and the referee, preferably before the game starts. Without justifiable reasons there are a range of sanctions that can be imposed on the Club – see RFU Regulation 19 appendix 6 – Half Game Rule.Age Grade.
